As long as they believe they will end up in paradise when killed, they will keep fighting.

Change that thinking and they will quite fighting.

The fact that it is a religion ties one of our hands behind our backs in this new Crusade (yes, I said Crusade). During the Cold War we had absolutely no problem (excluding the leftists in the State Department) pumping out books, news reports, radio and TV broadcasts criticizing communism. Even Democrats like Kennedy would never have said that "Communism is an ideology of peace". But because Islam is a religion we never take an aim at its core. I doubt whether we are even supporting more moderate imams who will say that killing yourself and innocents in the Jihad is a one way ticket to hell to get the population doubting the fundamentalists. Maybe we could export our surplus of secular humanists to battle Islam.
