Former President George W. Bush's new book, "Decision Points," got off to a strong start on Tuesday, selling at least 170,000 hardcover copies plus an estimated 50,000 e-books.
The results represent the largest first-day sale of any nonfiction title published by Random House Inc. in the past six years, said Crown Publishers, a unit of Bertelsmann AG's Random House. The figures don't include sales at the nation's independent bookstores or at Kroger Co., the grocery company.

You can add best selling author to two term US president and commander in chief that deposed to of the most squalid regimes in history, as well as two term governor and successful baseball entrepreneur.

Not to mention his successor...

That’s what I meant, but both apply.

I have enjoyed his interviews this past week and his sense of humor and wit. He is a thousand times a better leader as compared to Carter and the jihadist.

I bought my copy today at Target. The lefties don't like Target because they donated to a candidate against gay marriage. So a win-win. I like the family and other pictures a lot too, they really show a nice side of the Bush's. I must say I think he is a very good looking man for his age, really like the picture on the back cover! :)

As a #1 NYTimes bestselling author, I can tell you that the Bookscan numbers of actual scanned books is only 2/3 of what are actually sold, and if they are saying Bush sold 170,000, you can add another 50,000 to the actual hardcover sales. That’s, in one week, half of what Clinton’s “My Lie” sold in its first month, I think.
