I believe Nostradamus predicted that the end times would be nigh when a commercial jet making a vapor trail gets confused for a missile and half the world goes batshit over it.
That prophesy went unrecognized for centuries, because of course when Nostradamus wrote it, nobody in the world knew what a jet was, nor a contrail, and didn’t know what going batshit meant either. But now, the truth has been revealed to us.
Except, what does nigh mean? ;) Dang it.
