Yes, he was quoted by Varney as putting down Americans (specifically, newly elected officials) who don't have passports. What an elitist snob - and a hypocrite to boot! (Of course, he comes by it naturally as a leftist.)
Glad Bloomberg has his passport at the ready so he can use it to get out of the country frequently. The more folks like him are traveling abroad, the safer our precarious civil liberties will be. But on the flip side, does Bloomberg think that all Americans should be mandated to carry passports within the country as a form of national ID document? if he does, he's even more of a petty tyrant than one would have thought.
Bloomberg's crack about people in the MidWest not reading -- considering literacy rates of people coming out of the NYC public school system, he should NOT be talking.
