Yeah, right like in California we have a death penalty... We also just elected a governor and maybe an AG opposed to it.
We will just coddle this guy for the next 50 years with free room and board.

Yeah, right like in California we have a death penalty California has some of the strictest criminal law penalties in the country, in addition to three strikes laws. That's why cities like Los Angeles and said San Francisco have considerably less crime per capita than cities like St. Louis, Dallas and Atlanta, etc, etc.

You're not far from the truth! There are men on Death Row in California who were sentenced way back in 1979, and are no closer to their executions today than they were 31 years ago.
The notorious serial killer Richard Ramirez, aka the "Night Stalker", who savagely murdered at least 14 people back in 1984, was sentenced to death in 1989 and is only halfway (at best) through the appeals process. It will be at least another 25 years before an execution date is set for him.
Total judicial insanity!
