A fight at a nightclub may have led to the shooting of three men this morning near Wrigley Field.

The fight broke out about 11:30 p.m. at the Wild Hare, 3530 N. Clark Street, and left a 24-year-old man with injuries, said Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.

The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with cuts or a stab wound to his hand. The man, who was listed in good condition, also was hit in the head with a blunt object, Perez said.

About an hour later, officers and paramedics responded to the 1100 block of West Addison Street just west of Wrigley Field and found three men with gunshot wounds. Police said the men were standing outside when a gunman approached on foot and shot them.

Wrigleyville? All a tragic misunderstanding stemming from the innocent question “where can I find some Juicyfruit?”

In the shadow of Wrigley Field. A Chicago neighborhood now populated by yuppies and young white recent college grads. However, the night club involved specializes in Reggae and attracts a “diverse” set of Reggae fans from throughout the city. ‘Nuff said.

Yep, I was wondering, because I thought the Wrigley Field area had become more “yuppie” in recent years.

So the area is more “yuppie” but the nightclub is “ghetto”, from the sound of things.

As I recall, way back in the 80s or 90s this place was owned by the DEA for a while. It was seized from the owners.

Been there a number of times. A few times I even arrived sober.
