The excerpt you posted shows that the lies the MSM wrote about murders, rapes occurring meant that Bush didn’t feel he could safely send in unarmed troops to help NO and Blanco would not authorize armed troops. SO the MSM played a key, tragic role in deepening the losses of Katrina and then the MSM blames Bush for it.

There were plenty of rapes and murders in NOLA immediately post Katrina. It was Ray Nagin, during a press conference, who said 'drug crazed gangs' were roaming the streets. Also, there is documentation of police officers looting stores.
NOLA was a $hit hole before the storm, murders, drugs, rapes were a daily occurrence.
Ask the good folks in Texas how they feel about the evacuees.
