Why would it make sense? I don’t think spouses should criticize or threaten each other in public.
She wasn’t criticizing, and if it’s a joke, it’s not a threat in a meaningful sense. You can say you don’t find it funny, but if they’ve been married any length of time and are happy, presumably it’s okay for them.
