In a town hall with students at St. Xavier College in Mumbai, India, on Sunday, Obama responded to a question about his views of jihad by saying that the term has a lot of meanings within Islam, but the overwhelming majority of the more than 1 billion Muslims in the world see their religion as one that reaffirms "peace and justice and fairness and tolerance."
"I think all of us recognize that this great religion in the hands of a few extremists has been distorted to justify violence towards innocent people that is never justified," Obama said, adding that Islam is one of the world's great religions and people of all faiths need to treat one another with respect and mutual dignity.

"Jihad can in no way assume the form of violence against the innocent and those who are perpetrating such violent acts have done great disservice to Islam," Kamal Farooqi, a prominent member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, which protects the use of Islamic Shariah law for Muslims in India, was quoted saying by the Times of India.

Maulana Masood Madani, head of the Organization of Indian Scholars known as Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind, which also promotes Muslim issues in India, also agreed that Obama gets it.
"It's true that jihad has been wrongly interpreted by some people; however, I don't know by what yardsticks the US brands someone a jihadi or non-jihadi," said Madani, who is a parliamentarian.
"He is right -- jihad originally meant struggle against injustice, it does not mean killing the innocent," said Parliamentarian Rashid Alvi, who told the Times of India that Al Qaeda or Lashkar-e-Taiba do not represent Islamic interests.

He wants to open doors in India to allow for muslim attacks..They should be kicked out of all western countries..the battle will be worse in these countries if we don’t. The Usa should send all muslims back to their respective hellholes to be forced to live under what they promote...

Being that the Quran directs Muslims to kill all Infidels (non-muslims)if they refuse to convert to Islam, I would suggest that there is no such thing as a Muslim moderate. It's my anecdoctal opinion that even the so called moderates such as professionals, i.e., engineers, financial, business owners, etc, etc, discretely contribute money to charities that are actually fronting for radical causes.

When one of the meanings entails cutting the head off an unbeliever, or crashing airplanes into buildings, or blowing up a school full of children, or committing any number of murderous acts that have already been committed in the name of islam, with praise in many cases from a larger swath of the muslim world, I think we have the right to be concerned and weary.
I said the same thing here in Canada about deporting all the muslims back to where they came from, of course being in a social hellhole, I am called a bigot and rascist among other things. I try to inform people of the dangers, but they think it’s all myths.
I think we should have mandatory field trips with high school students to some crapworld muslim country so they would be educated with the truth.

Pakistan 98.4% Muslim/1.6% Hindu. Bet Pakistan does not have a radical Hindu problem...India has quite a big problem with their 13.4% Muslim population.
Did you notice he began his answer rather quickly, without having to think about it. He’s a muslim alright and takes to lying with ease.....no stuttering or teleprompter. As Bill last night on tv said, “We have no idea who this man really is”.
It is not difficult to see, I don’t want to hurt them, just leave peacefully, sell you stuff and move on, what muslim countries would do that for a christian?
Anyway, it would only save lives in the end, both ours and theirs..very sad we must look at everything fom some slanted PC view..
