Interesting map. But I'm confused -- are the colors reversed? I thought the coastal cities were driving the "blue" liberalism and the inland areas were the "red" voters.

You are right and the map is wrong. Unless “red” = “commie”.

I switched the colors so they would make more sense...in my map, “red” = “Communist.”

No, the colors you normally see are reversed. The MSM decided to stick the Republicans with Commie Red during the 2000 election. Before that, red always meant communist.
