Maybe I'm on crack, but I fail to see how we would have been better off with a 52-48 Senate trying to appease the Northeast Liberal Cabal. At least now we can reasonably be expected (in a perfect world) to hold a filibuster without needing to going hat-in-hand to those who would do us harm! Committee chairs and assignments aside, this takes away one of the Dems key points of blame for the next cycle.

Because with a 52-48 or 51-49 ‘Pub senate, the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee would be Jeff Sessions. As it is, we’re stuck with Pat Leahy for another two years’ worth of Obama judicial nominees and Justice Department antics. That’s all I need to know.
