I don't think obama ever intended to do the "clinton waltz" to the center. He is about as leftist as they come, and his narcicism has lulled him into a false sense of competency. He thinks he right, and the rest of the world is wrong.

We've sent some new dogs into the fight, but as the say, "it's not the dogs in the fight, but it's the FIGHT in the dogs.". So we'll see how many cajones we've sent to DC.

Exactly, Obama is a hard core leftist and it is impossible for him to move to the center.

The thinking that would put a Clyburn in a leadership position is a gift to conservatives that keeps on giving.
We just need to know how to make most of the gift.
I am not sure the RNC would know how to do that.
