Peggy Noonan Celebrates GOP Victory by Calling Sarah Palin an Ignorant Nincompoop

Peggy Noonan's weekend column,
Americans Vote for Maturity, is generally supportive of the Tea Parties, but she can't resist joining the chorus of ruling class Republicans grousing about "unqualified" candidates. She concludes:
Americans don't want, as their representatives, people who seem empty or crazy. They'll vote no on that.
It's not just the message, it's the messenger.
Without specifics, this is a fair enough point. But who decides that a candidate is "empty or crazy"? Do we take the word of the mainstream media and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee that Rand Paul, Sharron Angle and Christine O'Donnell are crazy "radical fringe" candidates? Perhaps with more support from people like Noonan, O'Donnell and Angle could have won their elections, which by definition would make them qualified candidates.
Noonan singles out a comment Sarah Palin made about President Reagan being a movie actor: "this was ignorant even for Mrs. Palin... The point is not ‘He was a great man and you are a nincompoop,' though that is true."
Sarah Palin might not be my first choice in the 2012 primaries, but, for crying out loud, she's on our side! Palin is a friend of conservatism, not an enemy--to use our President's language. It's unfortunate that a talented and intelligent writer like Noonan spends time in her first post-election column attacking a solid conservative, when there are so many nincompoops on the Left promoting policies that are destructive to the country.

There isn’t a single Republican politician in the past 50 years who hasn’t been pegged as ‘empty’ or ‘crazy’ by the media. Even John McCain was a ‘crazy ultra-conservative right-wing radical’ once he clinched the nomination. Ronald Reagan was both ‘empty’ and ‘crazy’ if you were to listen to the contemporary media.

Whatever credibility Noonan once had, she has long ago lost. Her arrogant sniping has become boring and irrelevant.

You think this is serious? Cher called Governor Palin “stupid.”

I have experienced this same attitude from an older establishment republican. He curses Rand Paul more than Barney Frank.

And an “unqualified intellectual lightweight.”

Peggy, in case you didn’t notice...Tuesday, the train left the station and you weren’t on board. There’s on old house on Great Road in Littleton, MA. One of the front door panels has a hole in it...from a musket ball at the start of the Revolution. The house was a church parsonage, and the parson huddled behind that door as the local militia demanded to know if he supported the new republic or the King of England. He didn’t give the right answer and they shot a hole in the door. He packed up and went back to England asap. Peggy, those who ignore history do so at their peril.

Americans don't want, as their representatives, people who seem empty or crazy. Explain Patty Murray then.
Or Joe Biden

This B_ _ _ _ should shut her mouth. The only reason why the GOP reclaim the House with this many seat is because of one person, Gov. Sarah Palin.

By calling Reagan an “actor”, Palin asked for it. He sure was not “just an actor”.

Who cares what this washed up hag thinks . She is so jealous of Palin she can't control herself . She is part of the old old regime .

That from someone who danced on one of our battleships and gyrated with a cannon between her legs.
And can we review the product of her great parenting btw?
Really, is there anything else that needs to be said about Cher?
