We can, on a few hours notice. With the outcome a virtual certainty, it is like it has already happened. Iran dares not attempt to use it's Navy or Air Force, so it is as if we have already destroyed them. We just haven't bothered to burn the fuel and expend the ordnance - yet.

If we just go pecking at them [limited or even substantial air-strikes, Naval action, etc] then what will we be doing, but what the Osama Bin Laden's of this world WANT us to do --- so they can see themselves justified in whatever murder of Westerners they can accomplish?
