That's the sort of thing we've got to learn to steel ourselves against. We know we're not knowinly going to allow children to suffer - we never have, it's a figment of the lefts' imagination that they use for a battering ram.

The worse problem conservatives have is a weak "guilt" trigger. We react to the liberals guilt trips before we even check to see if they are telling the truth. That doesn't make us "caring", that makes us fools, as we know how the leftists are.

The left is using a version of the child ploy, "You don't love me", against a parent to get out of being told "no". Parents who care can't fall for that sort of thing, and neither can the conservatives take it from the liberal "children".

Remember, the conservatives passed civil rights; it's the conservatives who are in the churches across the land helping the poor and the homeless. The liberals use all that as a punch line to relieve us of our cash.

I agree. And that's why I think it's a good thing that even people who are poor should be compelled to pay some kind of copay and chip in for a system like these Texas hospitals have, with local hospital-based insurance. They are never going to be able to afford $1500-a-month BC/BS coverage, but then neither can I, and neither can a lot of working people. This is a good compromise.

That's right! My kids never suffered because I TOOK CARE OF THEM. It's the LAZY-ASS liberals in the slums who let their kids suffer and then come to ME for a HANDOUT for their offspring. If they would get off their butts and be PRODUCTIVE then they would not NEED a hand-out.

You are RIGHT! Conservatives take care of their families and it's about time LIBERALS did the same! Why should I pay for the kids they decided to have?
