My family owns land up there which has been passed down through several generations. It is not far from the South Shore of Lake Superior.
I will never forget the solid forest of white birch which was so thick we couldn't walk through it, the deer, the bear tracks and the knee deep red mud I sank into as I got out of the car. I will also never forget the mosquitoes there the size of small hummingbirds. :)
