Sheesh. What part of no other conservative candidate stepped forward do you not understand?? Sharron Angle was our man and WE failed her!! WE are the ones who failed to support and get the vote out for, NOT her!!!!! Her constitutional conservative message was perfectly fine!!

First of all, please show me on this thread (or anywhere else, ever) where I said someone else other than Angle should have gotten the GOP nomination. I did not. I wish you would quit implying such, as it is completely off-base.

And second, GOTV just doesn't happen organically. It takes management and organization and understanding of the process. Unfortunately, some campaigns don't assign it the appropriate priority and it suffers as a results.

Mistakes are expensive. We need to learn from them. In this case the mistake was not in message but in management.

I was making GOTV calls and knocking on doors for Toomey and Corbett in June. That is how early that effort started up. But Toomey coasted at the end and almost got ambushed by the Dem GOTV effort in the Philly area. Like I said, I heard from someone that the GOTV call center was almost deserted the Sunday before the election - folks thought Toomey had it in the bag and weren't showing up to call.

We cannot coast in 2012. If we want conservatives to succeed, we have to back them with more than money, they need our time as well.

I don't think we are in that much disagreement here.
