Look, pal. We don’t have a smooth talking Rubio or Reagan in every state. Life would be easy if we did. We got constitutional conservative Sharron Angle through the primaries based on her conservative message. There was no better conservative candidate available. Period!!

Now whine all you want but we just didn’t get enough Republican voters up to overcome Reid’s fraud machine.

We fight for conservatives/conservatism or bust here on FR!!

No more RINOS!!

Rebellion is brewing!!

There’s no crying in rebellion!!

Where on this thread did I say the GOP should have nominated someone other than Angle? I didn't. But just because I agree with a candidate's viewpoints, it doesn't mean I won't note when they do not run a good campaign.

It is a mistake to blame the loss on fraud when there clearly were operational problems with the Angle campaign. Just as the GOTV effort for Toomey coasted at the end when the Dems were going full speed, and it almost cost them - an Adcock staffer went to the SE PA GOP center Sunday and the place was almost empty - within the critical 72 hour window before the election.

If we want to win next time, we need to learn from mistakes, not pretend they didn't happen.

You have to do the best with what you got, but we need to be in a position to be better. Rubio is not a miracle man. There are candidates like him in every state in this country, and not a few of them, either -- but the work has to be done. The difference between a Rubio and an Angle or Buck at the top of the ticket is early candidate recruitment and a strong, many-month-long effort to rally conservatives around the right choice.
