Cannot find this on Mich State Police Website can you?

It is legal to carry openly to the voting booth and also in non-secured areas of police stations and airports. Citizens are not bound by anything in Michigan law to present identification to a police officer unless it is a moving violation in a motor vehicle. Citizens do not have to talk to police, and unless they are being detained for criminal suspicion, they may simply walk away. Each situation is different, but it is important that people know their legal rights. This needs to be the law in all 50 states not just Michigan.

Someone needs to send this to the state Po-Lice and see what they say about it before it gets published any farther. Sounds like bullsh*t to me especially coming from the Blue North.

This sounds like misinformation put out to create an incident and get someone in trouble. Carrying in post offices and courtrooms is prohibited by Federal law. I’m not sure about schools but it’s also a no-no where I live.

Here in Massachusetts, we can only dream about police chiefs putting out stuff like this.
