PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (Nov. 2, 2010) Campaign staff for Republican congressional candidate Vicky Hartzler have joined in the criticism of a decision by local Democrats to ask the Waynesville and Saint Robert police for an escort for a political parade through the two cities on Saturday. In a press release issued Tuesday by Hartzler spokesman Steve Walsh, officials for the candidate seeking to unseat Congressman Ike Skelton noted that Democrat Party officials in Pulaski County are now in trouble for using police officers to stage an unauthorized parade on behalf of Ike Skelton and another Democrat Party candidate last weekend in St. Robert and Waynesville and noted that Pulaski County Democratic Central Committee Chairwoman Clara Ichord will be receiving a bill for police services to escort the parade. This is yet another example of Ike Skeltons total lack of consideration for taxpayers, said Walsh. Skelton staffers have demonstrated, once again, their disregard for the taxpayers by assuming the congressman has the right to use police officers for partisan political purposes. These officers should have been protecting the public, rather than being misused by Ike Skelton and his supporters to help in his reelection bid. Its time for a change. Its time for Ike Skelton to be brought home where he can retire and waste no more taxpayer dollars.
