Voters like hormonal teenagers
Vanity Fair via Drudge ^ | December 2010 | Graydon Carter

Posted on 11/05/2010 8:09:20 AM PDT by John.Galt2012

The general anti-Obama rage out there is palpable. But it’s no more virulent than the anti-Bush sentiment that has pervaded the country for much of the past decade—although this being America, there’s an attendant hatred for Obama that has more to do with race than anything else. What makes today’s fury more worrying is the fact that angry right-wing extremists tend to carry guns in disproportionate numbers to their liberal counterparts.

A distinguished colleague of mine likens the wiggy mood of the nation to that of a hormonal teenager. What do you call an electorate that seems prone to acting out irrationally, is full of inchoate rage, and is constantly throwing fits and tantrums? You call it teenaged. Is voting for a deranged Tea Party candidate

For a guy who allegedly is smart and a good writer, Graydon doesn't hold a candle to Peter Jennings in terms of dressing up their tantrums as pseudo-psycology.

Teddy: "Hey Petah! I hear the voters had another tantrum this week!"

Jennings: "Shut up, Ted!"

More rationalization in support of the progressive desire / plan to disenfranchise conservatives. They increasingly realize this is their best route to lasting power.

I thought the “hormonal teenager” comparison was a very good description of 2008.

The author is forgetting to include an important liberal constituency - criminals. Substantially all the nation’s contingent of murderers, rapists and gang-bangers do NOT support the party of law and order and hard sentences. The democrat party’s thug constituency has also shown a propensity to use their weapons as opposed to the conservative willingness to brandish same.

So what does this guy attribute the actions of voters for "O" in November '08?

Due to them being mindless zombies?

Coming from the guy who offered that literary colossus Levi Johnston the chance to contribute to his magazine...that’s pure comedy.

What’s their problem? What are THEY but mere voters...or do they see themselves in some superior ivory media tower, looking out at the unwashed masses.

What fools— the day the media decides to look in the mirror and realize they’re no different, no better and but mere mortals ... THAT will be the day they become relevant again.

I laughed when I read this and thought this is exactly what I felt when Democrats took all in 2008.Sorry liberals but it isn’t our side that has the immature idiotic ideas or who choose to ignore facts in favor of fiction.
