I think something is on a burner too. A friend of mine who owns a jewelry store one day mentioned that India is rich in gold..and if the people of India put their mind to it, and developed the gold assets they have, they could have some control of the price of gold..
Anyone else heard anything to this effect?

I haven't heard anything.....but that's food for thought. All I know is we've been a outsourcing a tremendous amount of jobs to India in the past 20yrs.....which is the LAST thing we need.

I hear "buy American" all the time....but there is precious little manufactured here anymore. Our gov't has systematically and deliberately dismantled our status as the industrial leader of the world.... by hamstringing our business with heavy taxes and burdensome regulations which make it impossible to compete with 3rd world sweat shops.

Take that and the unions demanding top $$ for even menial labor jobs... minimum wage requirements strapped to the rest....etc....there's no way to "buy American" for most everything we need. I could go on....but that's my rant for the day.
