Looks like the “Chicago votes” are rolling in.

From the article:

Brady's last hope is the pile of provisional, absentee, and military ballots that have not been counted yet.

Who wants to bet these ballots mysteriously disappear or become tainted in some way.

Anybody?

Another Democratic governor?

That’s one downer in IL from the GOP wave. Usually Chicago makes the calls over the Republican downstate.

Remember the democrat golden rule. If it's close we always win.
As a resident in Illinois I can only say the death will be a quick one. With the Feds guaranteeing California and Illinois bond issues and Illinois stopped paying it's bills years ago. Unfortunately the rest of the US is tethered to our falling bodies.

Does the GOP control either chamber of the Illinois legislature?

What’s odd is the polls had consistently shown Brady doing better than Kirk. I suspect that the Chicago machine went to work for Quinn, but didn’t do much to stop Kirk.

I don’t think the Chicago machine believes it had to do too much with Kirk. I think they are counting on Kirk to be on their team since he is unwilling to come out of the closet.

I was told Quinn brought in 3,000 goons from around the country to 'bring in the vote.' That was probably why the polls closed at 7.

Illinois is going to have to sink to the bottom. Maybe the electorate will wake up by 2010.

I know. I am really, really angry over this. This guy is a buffoon, is incompetent, pushes this state further and further into the hole, and raised taxes to levels that are large and unheard of. Nobody I talked to likes him, even Democrats, but he wins re-election?

Perhaps to stupid people a stupid governor appears normal, and it seems the more of a failure you are in a toxically liberal corrupt state like Illinois, the more popular you become. Weird.

Kirk (my congressman) & Quinn won because both of them are liberal. In 2009, Kirk voted for the cap & trade bill, and, this year, Quinn proposed an income tax rate increase. Kirk’s latest rating from Planned Parenthood is 100%, and Quinn is also pro-choice. Both of them support gay marriage.

In NJ our most conservative reps voted for cap and trade. Even Gov. Christie is for it.

Can you imagine the promises made..........
