After three elections of diluting votes for the Republican party, maybe you will wake up and realize how much damage the constant criticism of Republicans by "conservatives" among their ranks has caused.
Republicans are the only way that conservatives are able to put together a majority and stop the Democrats. That includes moderates. That is the reality.
With an honest to God Marxist in the White House, our economy being destroyed in front of our eyes, our health care stolen and put in the hands of government bureaucrats, the best we could do with a fractured Repub party nationally was gain back the House. It's time now to quit helping the David Frums of the world by fighting Republicans instead of Democrats.
This isn't a new argument from me Jim, I've personally posted too you on threads past of what the outcome of this strategy would be. The humiliating loss by O'Donnell, the loss by Joe Miller to a write in, and the loss of Angle to that rotten POS Reid, in the worst environment for Democrats in a generation has got to be an eye opener for all libertarians and "true conservatives". My post was meant to show how ridiculous the anti RINO atmosphere here has gotten.

That not what it was when I signed up. It was a conservative forum for the exchange of conservative ideas and goals, not a weapon against Republicans. Of course, it is your website and you can do as you wish with it. I can only hope you will reconsider.
"Diluting votes for the Republican party" - not quite sure what that means, but if it means that simply putting an "R" next to ones' name should put them above criticism, then I cannot agree with it.
If a RINO like, say, Olympia Snowe or Lindsay Graham votes with the liberals on legislation that is CLEARLY DETREMENTAL to this country (like, say, "cap and trade" or "obamacare"), then they should be strongly criticized and shunned. And, if the republican party cannot find the strength within itself to purge these liberals from its rolls, then it is as guilty as they are.
We watched the party stand firmly behind the likes of Charlie Crist and Lisa Murkowski to the detriment of the people that they themselves seek to represent. We watched them push for amnesty prior to losing many seats in 2006. We now see them bashing the very folks, the conservatives that have propelled them back into majority status in the house. Why should they not be criticised for such action?
The problem I see has been going on for a long time. It isn’t unique to FR.
Every single republican is labeled a conservative by the media. That is the problem.
The only way to fix that is to embrace a 3rd party. Making that party one that can win against the democrats would be a daunting task. I’m not sure America has that much time, but who knows?
Otherwise we are stuck with plain old pubbies and we will always be in this battle.
I want Obama and all that he represents gone. I do know the fight starts right now, so we best decide what comes first.

Agreed. We've come a long way in the last 2 years. It would be counterproductive to turn back now. The fight will continue, and we need to remain vigilant. There are a number of Republicans that are on the side of the people, and that number grew this election.
There will be setbacks, but as long as we continue to take 2 steps forward for every step back, we are moving forward. It took a long time to mess things up, and short of a civil war, it will take a while to straighten it out.
The RINOs are scared, and they're speaking out. As they pop their heads out of the hole, we'll smack them. Notice that a lot of comments are being pushed today by "undisclosed" republicans, and unnamed aides. They don't want their names known, but their names will come out, one by one. And they will be smacked as quickly as they appear.
It's a lot shorter route to save the Republican party (which already has a substantial number of allies within) than it is to start a new party. By the time a new party got established, elections would no longer exist.
The question is simple. Do you want a majority in our governing bodies or do you prefer a “pure” minority?
This nation is not conservative enough to let us have a “pure” majority, and crippling ourselves in liberal states because we will not tolerate moderates will keep the liberal Democrats in the drivers seat.
That is obvious, now more than ever. We are in a war with liberals, and we need every ally (pure or not) to stop them.
This nation is so far gone to the left that ALVIN GREENE got over 350,000 votes in SC, one of the most conservative states in the nation. THe man is a retard, but 350,000 people preferred him over Jim Demint.
That scares me to death.
It’s an “either, or” proposition. We need, and will have a relatively pure majority over the next couple of election cycles. The nation IS conservative, despite the bleatings of the left-wing media to the contrary. People, by and large, do NOT trust the government because of its liberalism and statism.
We are at war with the liberals, but not just the liberals with a “D” next to their name. When idiots caucus with the left on major issues, they need to be purged from the party. When idiots try to sell their own brand of Obamacare, they need to be purged from the party. When idiots jump in bed with junk scientists whose only goal is to destroy the US, they need to be purged from the party. When idiots try to circumvent the text and meaning of the second amendment, they need to be purged from the party. Ditto the first amendment, or any amendment.
I don’t expect 100% perfect conservatism from every republican - that wouldn’t be possible. But I do expect 60-75% at least. And siding with the enemy is counterprodutive to that goal. There are plenty republicans that achieve that level of conservatism, but there are a number that do not. Get rid of the ones that do not.
As for Alvin Greene, 350,000 people have shown that they are stupid and need to be educated. Assuming that all 350,000 votes represent actual people.

McCain and graham are just as guilty as obama in working against the Constitution - actually more so because they’re posers and frauds.
They both need to man up and apologize to this country for the destruction that they’ve underhandedly aided and abetted!

Additionally, O'Donnell needed to nationalize her race if she had any chance at all. Yet she got into a no win argument about the 1st amendment. Dumb move. Regardless if I think she is right on it....It doesn't bring anyone out to vote and furthermore can only be used against you (by the MSM). It was dumb move. So was her "witch" ad. Then she does something even dumber and within 3 days says she "regrets" the ad. Come on. The lady is immature as hell.
Both O'Donnell and Angle refused to nationalize their elections and instead had to make it about them as well as their opponents. They cost us. Reid is an example that would have lost to 999 out of a 100 other candidates in NV (as long as they were concerned with making the race about them).
Sorry, Charlie, those who do not support and abide by the official God, Country, Family, Life and Liberty Republican Party Platform (you might try reading it sometime) are RINOs by definition and should not be running on the GOP ticket!!

Okay, that’s how you saw it, I’m fine with that, I don’t take it personally and I hope we’re not going to have an ongoing feud about it.
I just found her to seem incredibly tired [punch-drunk] after a long battle where she got very little to no help from the Republican party. Instead, they piled on.
Maybe appearing immature and silly are part of her personality, but that’s mighty small stuff to me in the greater scheme of things - and I’d like to see conservatives stop the infighting over insignificant things like a candidate’s quirks.
She was the bona fide Republican candidate and she is a Constitutional conservative. Those two things in and of themselves are the most important and should have earned her nothing less than respect and committed support from the party - mainly because the other choice was an admitted marxist who champions marxist ideals such as cap and tax.
But instead, she has taken a beating from her own party over insignificant things - all while trying to concentrate on beating down one of the corruptest of the “corrupt bastards.”
That's fine....what about the Repubs disparaged daily here that are shining examples of exactly those principles, such as GWB? There are a lot of fine, Christian people on my list that simply disagree on some policies.
Regardless, that doesn't excuse handing power to Democrats by nominating candidates that cannot win in blue states. What good does it do, when at the end of the day, a bunch of godless, America hating Democrats get to make the laws we have to live by?
One of the previous posts claims that "we have made so much progress in the last two years" (apparently getting rid of RINOs) while we have gone over 3 trillion farther in debt, nationalized health care, abandoned illegal immigration enforcement, put two liberal women on the SC, and are fixing to lose Iraq and Afghanistan....along with many other travesties.
That's what is wrong here on FR and at the Tea Party Express in a nutshell. Fundamentalists and libertarians might have made progress but at the ultimate expense of God and Country.
As a conservative, I just can't remain silent about it.
