Is this how he’s going to get his personal revenge on Pakistan? How did Ears get into Pakistan back when Americans were barred from entering? What passport did he use? Why isn’t he a citizen of that country?
Let's put an end to the above misinformation: Americans were NEVER barred/prohibited/banned from traveling to Pakistan. There was a time when the state department ADVISED Americans not to travel to that country (and it probably has been reinstated today because of the turmoil there).
The questions about his passports are still valid.
I thought this for a long time but I was wrong. US Citizens were not barred but were asked to report their travel and to be very careful while there.

I looked into it - VERY hard to find any data - it was pre-internet - and really pre PC -
The best I could come up with was a warning not to go to Pakistan - but I’m pretty sure it would require a Visa.
What I do know is - it would be highly irregular.
I have a copy of the travel advisory somewhere inmy computer - it most definitly was not barred - but I think some vocabulary around this suffers from “post office” synome - words changing just a bot with each re-telling.
