House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said today she has "no regrets" one day after a Republican landslide stripped her of the power that defined her historic tenure as the first female speaker of the House.
The California Democrat, who won a new two-year term in Tuesday's election, said she has yet to consider what she will do now.
"I'll have a conversation with my caucus, I'll have a conversation with my family, and pray over it, and decide how to go forward," she said in an exclusive ABC News interview with "World News" anchor Diane Sawyer. "But today isn't that day."

Rush predicted this back in 2007. I remember because I was living in NH at the time and the democrats just won the house and there was a lot of talk by the dems about how much they wanted to do to... I mean “for us”.. and they seemed hell bent on jamming it through in spite of the feelings of the electorate.

Interesting that she actually entertained the possibility of rolling back parts of the healthcare bill. Said that there are certain parts that both side may want to change and how they’d debate piece by piece. Writing’s on the wall.
Brian Sussman (conservative Bay Area talk show host) has been saying for weeks/months now that she’ll end up running for, and becoming, mayor of San Francisco.
Sounds like as a good a theory as any.
