‘I thought it was the Republicans who wanted this?’

To the left reforming the tax code means using taxes to ‘level the playing field’ and equalize incomes and property.

Most of the gains were in seats that the GOP should never had lost or taken this long to finally win.

Add that to favorable redistricting (outside of maybe IL and NY) and the GOP is well positioned to keep the house in 2012.

The GOP will add seats and the reason is all the new House seats will be in Red States. Blue States are shedding jobs and population. 2006 was the Democrats’ high water mark.

The Dem good ol’ boy network has been decimated below the Mason Dixon line. I wonder how many GOP leaning districts there are left out there that didn’t flip to the GOP yesterday. Any idea?

Bite your tongue.

That blue *L* on the West & South side of Wisconsin? They all came here from either Minneapolis or Chicago. It wasn’t marching orders, it was “the only rural Waldorf School in the country” combined with Organic Valley Co-operative.

By absolutely no coincidence, we received a ton of grants this summer, plus advertised stimulus funds and _voila!- Ron Kind was re-elected to Congress in an election that saw only 3 out of 8 WI donk critters surviving.

However, aside from all that, last night was good, here.

Only a few in NC I think. That will can taken care of in redistricting. The Governor can’t veto it, we’ll have control.

ARK-4 is GOP for President but not locally.

Kentucky is north of the line but Ben Chandler is ahead.

The white southern democrat is nearly extinct.

Yes, NC. A lot of liberal northerners are retiring there. It doesn’t seem to have the conservative lean it used to.

I’m proud of my home state PA. We came through last night and picked up all the House seats I was expecting.

IN08-Walsh thinks he’s won and that the lead he has now is insurmountable with the remaining ballots to be counted. IL came through big as well-except for Gov.

Left wing groups are out there blaming moderate DEMS for the loss. I hope that escalates as it may drive some of those DEMS into the arms of the GOP.

Well Auh2o listed the potential party switchers. We’ll see if any of them jump.

In Alamaba that State Senator the GOP wanted to switch and run for AL-5 Tom Butler, lost. Bet he wishes he switched, he’d be a Congressman instead of unemployed.
