But does that help those who worked at hospitals that are now getting laid-off?
That is the one thing I did not hear during this election. "how many out there that work in a hospital have LOST their job due to obamacare?"

The Constitutional amendments were not intended to help those laid-off by Obamacare. The intent is to exempt state citizens and businesses from the ObamaCare mandate to buy health insurance or be fined.

I have (temporarily) affordable insurance. I’m self employed and carry a $5K deductible policy that works pretty well. BC/BS has notified me that starting 1/1/11 I get all kinds of new mandated coverage. I haven’t received my notice of premium increase to pay for all of these goodies I neither want nor need. But this letter was telling me to be ready for the big one. A customer of mine told me this morning he was just informed his premiums were increasing 100% as of 1/1/11.

Everyone here should be cognizant of the fact that even if the mandate to buy insurance is killed, it will do nothing to stop these premium increases. I still will have to give up my insurance. If I am lucky, I just won’t have to pay huge fines to the government for being screwed out of my insurance. But I will still be without insurance.

And neither will many of you.

With ObamaCare, we kill the whole thing, or we lose the game. There is NO middle ground. Win or lose, NO ties.

I'm losing my hospital job in 10 days. Worked for 7 years at a Phoenix hospital doing transcription. Our whole department (30+) is being laid off so they can send our jobs to India. Between the EMR mandate and having to pay for all the illegals using the ER like an urgent care, the hospital had to cut costs somewhere.

no kidding! i lost my job the day after the bill was signed! took me 9 months to find a job! seriously?
the job loss in healthcare specifically since this bill was signed really needs to be addressed and exposed by someone. im amazed that no one has picked up on the fact that hospitals are cutting all the staff they can becuz this is a double edged sword for them. not only is their cost to insure thier workers going up but their reimbursement for patients is going to drop dramatically.
everyone thinks the job market will explode to handle the increase in patient coverage but they dont realize reimbursement will go way down, the only way hospitals can compensate will be cutting employees and cutting wages... this is a nightmare!
stupid politicians dont get it!
