Bad economy, high un-employment
Typical heavy handed Unions, now 800 more join the un-employment line

And as an ammo plant, why would you want to stay in such an antigun state anyway?

The sooner there are no unions, the better.

I don’t know why there are so many firearms related industries located in anti-gun states. Massachusetts has several, Connecticut has several, Illinois has a couple. It seems to me that they should tell the high tax, anti-gun states to go to hell.

"It's crazy; who ever heard of a second chance?" asked one worker, who declined to provide her name.
"I voted no because it's still not fair," she added, citing Olin's profit margin and salaries paid to company executives.
"If I do, I do, and if I don't, I don't," Mary Welte said of keeping her position at the plant.
Several machinists said they believe Olin is bluffing and won't follow through on the proposed expansion of its plant in Oxford.
And they called the Mississippi folks stupid...

Unions are morons. They are communists looking to get something they do not deserve while ignoring competitive markets. They want government to give them something for free like the profits of a company. Well, they just lost their jobs and a major economic powerhouse for the local area due to their own stupidity.

"It's official: Olin ammo production to Mississippi (Union drives 800 jobs out of Illinois)" Great! Nice to see a manufacturer with cojones willing to take on the unions. I'm sure Olin management will be thrilled to have a southern workforce with employees whom are grateful for the work and have minimal absenteeism.
I also expect they'll be glad to depart the hellhole of East St Louis in exchange for a lovely rural community with God-fearing traditional Americans versus corrupt union b-stards.
