I read a couple post-mortems today. They said that she didn’t want to interact with the media, wasn’t comfortable getting out and talking with people, etc. So... they kept her sheltered. The woman can’t ride around on her jet and cook up her ideas in isolation — I don’t think she has any idea of what the average citizen thinks about politicians or Sacramento. She never followed public policy or any of California’s long history - she couldn’t even be bothered to vote. She came across as totally clueless on issues.

She irked me because all she kept saying was “I have a plan” or “I know how to solve those problems” but NEVER said HOW. I read through her 50 page glossy brochure calling for a “NEW” California. It was void of any real strategy on how to tackle the office of governor. It was a bunch of gibberish. When you take all that with her liberal record ($ to Enviro defense, acceptance of Global Warming BS, fan of Van Jones, wanting to hand out more green energy $ to her buddies in the silicon valley, to spend $50 billion on public water projects and sell the ownership interests to her financial backers, etc. etc. etc — she became a hugely dislikable and dangerous character).

I tried to bite my tongue for months. I slipped a few times and posted less than flattering comments. But honestly - the people that come on here and say she was a good candidate or ran an excellent campaign are selling the same old snake oil.

Did you see Nehring’s comments yesterday quoted in the SF Chron? He needs to look in a mirror - he and Petey are the has-beens and relics that need to be retired.

“I hope these two has-beens [Brown and Boxer] are at least gracious enough to take time today and thank those they’ve managed to sucker into supporting their failed policies during the last four decades. It’s important they thank them today, because after tomorrow, nobody’s going to be interested in anything those two relics have to say,” Nehring said.

San Diego county went R after we got rid of Nehring! And Pete Wilson is the reason we have Ahnold and Whitman and the like.

Yeah, the minute I heard that our candidate hadn't voted for 20 years or 10 years or whatever, I knew we were screwed. How does one overcome not taking an interest in their own state's gov. then try to govern it! Crazy!
