You might get two of your wishes, specifically six and seven. Seven is dicey.

You expect too much from control of one half of Congress.

Just because we have taken the House, at least half of the Republicans are cowardly brain dead and will go along with nothing. This communists takeover of America will continue until we can never go back.

We need to be writing conservative bills, bills of liberal deconstruction.

I go along wholeheartedly with the first six and add another—”cut the govt spending by half.”
We did it in the early 1920’s and in 1946.

I think it will take a long time to phase out welfare and most of the people getting unemployment probably really can't find jobs due to the 10% unemployment that the Dems have gifted us with.

Question: can GOP defund ObamaCare without a majority in the Senate?

8) Seal the dang border and deport all illegals and those who’ve overstayed their visas.

9) All terrorist go directly to GITMO for a speedy Military Tribunal trial.

10) English is the official language and there will be no more multi-language official documents of any kind.

11) Enforce stringently, only legal immigration is acceptable.

We elected a house of congress, not magicians. They don’t get to just vote to change constitutional amendments. And if you think that in this time of economic collapse the country wants to see Congress turning into an investigation of Obama (which must be done in some crucial areas), you need to look at the public reaction to the Clinton administration.

Yes we won, but we elected legislators, not a council of magicians.

You need the Senate to do all that...
However you can defund anything not tied down or already funded..
Send a budget to the Senate with funding cut in half.. in many places..
AND when it comes back from the Senate, GUT IT again..
AND when the President VETOS it.. GUT IT more and send it back again..

Not a chance on (1). At this point, the conservative mandate is not for “investigations”. We won an opportunity to right the ship ... if we squander it on investigations and more political infighting (even if we’re right), we’ll be seen as wasting our opportunity, and we’ll lose again in 2012. I think an “investigation” agenda is more likely to generate sympathy for Obama than to help oust him. Bide your time, and take your shot at Obama in 2012.

I think we’ve got a reasonable shot on making the Bush tax cuts permanent, repealing/defunding Obamacare, and killing Cap/Tax, though. Killing social security won’t happen, nor will the unemployment thing (it won’t look good for the GOP to kick the unemployed in the teeth during a recession).

Ask for a magic pony while you’re at it. That might improve your chances.

It would be the Democrats who shut the government down because the GOP will control the House, where the budget originates.

Constitutional Amendment:

Term Limits for Congress
&
End of Lame Duck Sessions

.....

Another one that would ban the federal government from giving or spending money for any non-government function.
