A source close to Eric Cantor tells CNN that the Republican congressman will announce his intention to run for House majority leader at 10:45 a.m. in a written statement.

One would hope, but they will be lost in the bureaucracy for the first few months. If they could form a bloc and demand certain changes, it could have an effect.
Wall Street wants Cantor - that much is clear.
It was a far better job than Nazi Pelousys arrogant display dragging her grandkids in and declaring she was draining the swamp.
Looks like Swampthing drained her.
Doh! How could I forget? Exactly. She helped a lot. Did Cantor do anything to help with this win? Bachmann was all over the place. She is probably my favorite Repub.
That would be reason enough for me to not consider him.
Good...after Boehner’s odd performance last nite and his lackluster management last go around he needs to step aside.
Someone needs to take this out of Breaking News as it is totally false.
Boehner has earned my respect these last 2 years by keeping the house republicans all on the same page in opposing Obama’s marxist agenda(it had to be like herding cats). Boehner was also one of the early ones to listen to the Tea Party and take them seriously. His speech last night was very touching and came from a pure heart.
He gets my support because he has gone a long way in redeeming the GOP and getting them this second chance. Cantor is another story imho. I don’t trust him yet. He seems a little squirelly to me.
Bachmann should be up there.. not Cantor
They just played that bit on the air...'Are you hypnotized?'...what a tool.
OK, I want to see a bitter rat rebellion with Harry emerging.
dam...you’re right
Thank you for the info. I am going to have to do some searches to find out about how the House Leadership goes so that I don’t sound so ignorant. :)
I see Cantor, and my first reaction to his appearance is that he looks like a guy that would be “asking for zee papers.”
I know thats not fair, to base your opinion on looks, but its true.
Nothing personal, but Cantor annoys me. Don’t think he will be good. I think the guy from Wisconsin would be better
I like Boehner too but was he on the juice last night?
Sorry but that little speech although somewhat endearing was also a blubberfest of muddled message. Quite lame in that setting.
Ah jeez, saw it in breaking news and immediately jumped on to thinking it was Speaker, which would be breaking news. Majority leader, of course, is what Cantor’s been in line for all along.
Don’t trust him for a minute...he’s a pragmatist, pure and simple.
Deflate Boner ...er ...Boehner.
Dittos!
