The results were a complete surprise. I will have better data later today but I understand for the state house no incumbent Republican lost, 16 Democrat incumbents lost and 6 open seats were won by Republicans.
In one night Maine turned from a very blue state to purple or even light red.
16 seats ? That’s better than the 13 or 14 we did in TN (where we now have nearly a 2-to-1 majority in the State House).
