Yes, 1962 sound right.

The results were a complete surprise. I will have better data later today but I understand for the state house no incumbent Republican lost, 16 Democrat incumbents lost and 6 open seats were won by Republicans.

In one night Maine turned from a very blue state to purple or even light red.

I'm confused. I just got off the phone with the Lepage HQ and they said the state is still counting votes. Inland districts still need to be counted which is good for us and Lepage has a slim lead but Cutler has not given in.

Has someone in the state called the election for Lepage?
