Or as David Broder suggested in the NYT, he could boost the economy ala FDR by starting a war with Iran. Presumably a ground war on a scale far more expansive than either of the Iraq wars which weren't large enough to have a major impact on either economic activity or unemployment.

He could also cut taxes and get out of the economies way by reducing regulation, but that won't happen either.

It is fair to say his options are narrowing, a strike on Iran in 2012 would rally many to his side.

Don't put that past this SOB. It was the great dream of Bill Clinton, and IS the great dream of Barack Hussein to be a "War-Time President" ala FDR.
