I admit that I didn’t see this one coming. Skelton has been such a fixture in a primarily rural district for so long that I figured he’s squeak through again.

Wow. Skelton has been there forever!

Amazing. Pelosi’s coattails were toxic.

Heresy it may be, but I hate seeing Skelton go. He's done one heckuva job standing up for the military and the common soldier against the pressure from his own party (and some RINOs).
REP Ike Skelton was one of the Good Guys.

She was unpopular and used as the face of Democrats all over the country. Arrogant and unrepentant to the end. And Ike Skelton paid the price for association with her party.

I wanted to see this ass out on his ass. At least his sister lost.

Who voted with Pelosi 95% of the time since she assumed the throne.

Not a single of the Blue Dogs ever reined in Pelosi’s hubris.
They were worse than useless. I’m glad to see the lot of them, Skelton and Schuler - gone.

I admit that I didnt see this one coming. Skelton has been such a fixture in a primarily rural district for so long that I figured hes squeak through again I live in his District. Having the liberals in charge is the best thing to happen to Missouri politics in a very long time. It exposed all the Dems for who they were. They were no longer able to vote one way in Wash DC, casting just enough conservative votes to cover their tracks, then come home a play up the folksy shtick to the rubes at home. The public finally caught on, and booted him.

We crushed gene taylor so hard he is refusing to congratulate Palazzo... gene is an arrogant pos elitist socialist and all in Mississippi see him clearly this morning. WLOX TV has their liberal talking heads on death watch... they installed Thorazine dispensers in the studio this morning!

I heard that Alan West won in Florida as well. That’ll make for some interesting floor speeches.

Another incumbent RAT dragged out of the rathole. All of these lontime RATS who continue to get reelected in conservative districts becasue of name recognition alone, must be targeted. They all must go.

He was a politician. He helped compromise our future although on a continuum he was far more responsible than say Barney Frank.
But Missourians won’t put up with much, unless you are talking about the smoking dungholes of Kansas City or St. Louis.

Skelton had appealed for votes by pointing to his opposition to his partys health care reform and to his longtime support for the military. But it was not enough to overcome Hartzlers persistent criticism of his ties to the unpopular Democratic leadership in Congress. The exact same thing happened to Gene Taylor here in S. Miss.

We crushed gene taylor so hard he is refusing to congratulate Palazzo...I had an 81 year old neighbor come up to me last night. He said that he didn't know who Palazzo was but because of all the signs in my yard he went ahead and voted for him because he trusts me. Boy, did THAT ever make me feel good!

Skelton was one of many long-serving Dems to fall. Add John Spratt, Gene Taylor, Earl Pomeroy, and Jim Oberstar to that list.

Yeah, we’re still stuck with Cleaver and Carnahan. I was really hoping that we’d flush both.
