I've been sitting here clicking "refresh" to get a tally of my home state Senate race. With 95.6% of the precints reporting, Toomey had about 1.835 million and Sestak had about 1.803. Next thing I know, it's 96% of the precincts reporting, and Sestak has 1.721 million. How does that happen (not that I'm unhappy about it, I should stress, I'm just wondering).
I have a hunch it is the rural districts that tend to depend upon God and their hand to till the land, and the City folks depend upon the gub’mint. The 1st votes that are counted I think are the city folks...then the outlying districts trickle in.
They fixed a reporting error.
I don’t know, but I am sure happy to hear it!
Votes are reported by precinct. I believe the urban precincts had reported, but the rural precincts had not. As a result, the late precincts were heavily weighted towards Toomey.
SESTAK, JOE (DEM) 1,860,579 49.2%
TOOMEY, PAT (REP) 1,921,140 50.8%
Maybe someone mis-typed the Sestak total into the website and then corrected it.
In PA statewide races, the cities (Philly and Pittsburgh) usually report first and it looks like the Dem jumps ahead, but then the rest of the counties start reporting later and they are much more conservative.
PA is a big state and the libs are usually concentrated in two or three areas.
United States Senator
Candidate Votes Percent
SESTAK, JOE (DEM)
1,885,113 49.2%
TOOMEY, PAT (REP)
1,944,236 50.8%
votes were from metropolitan areas .... now the rural areas are coming in
A 60,500+ vote difference? I don’t think Al Franken’s election thieves could manufacture than many votes. And they are the best in the business!
We Republicans also have our machine, hehehe.
Guys.............Toomey Has this in the bag!
Now that Sestak faces unemployment in January, will OBAMA (using CLINTON as the procurer) offer him a job?
