I don’t think we can be let down by any of the politicians anymore, because we’ve stopped relying on them, and started relying on ourselves. We should have done it a long time ago, and we’ve still got an uphill climb ahead of us.

Anyone that tan is much too vain to care about the ‘little people’. I’m afraid you are right..I hope not but history shows us what these slick willies do once they are in power. For the rest of your response...spot on. It is far deeper ...
>>The first test is going to be the raising of the US debt ceiling. This HAS to happen, because of the ramifications of the US defaulting on its debt.

>There are many solutions. 50% pay cut for all public employees except the military and law enforcement.
>Eliminate all Federal departments and agencies established after 1960.
>Remaining departments and agencies would have 1980 budgets.
Not drastic enough, IMO.
Were I in charge of the executive [branch] I would call in the heads of all the agencies for interviews the only question would be:
“In one sentence, what is the purpose of your agency.”
Any answer not containing Constitutional justification/reasoning would put that agency on my ‘dissolve’ list.
The Army would have its ENTIRE budget reduced to $100 Mil, total. {That’s $2 million per state}; I know this is a “NO DON’T TOUCH IT!” area for many people, but the truth is that BILLIONS of dollars have been lost, vanished w/o a trace, due to the sprawl of the Department of defense. Further, and closer to framers of the Constitution’s will is that they intended never to have a standing army (This is why Congress is prohibited from budgeting the army for more than 2 years — It was an attempt to make it *difficult* to keep an official [that is standing/active] army). To say that this would open the US to attack begs the question of all the time prior to WWII when the US *didn’t* have a standing army and survived as-a-nation perfectly fine.
You had darned well better not, Boner.... or you’re next!
Anyone who assumes power with weeping is far too weak to hold power. This fool is a disaster and MUST NOT be elected Speaker of the House. He’s a sell out wimp... Dump him NOW before its too late.
He’s had it for awhile now...he updates his Facebook page regularly, and has been very forceful against Obama. I don’t see him backing down.
Great! Next time you're in DC, have drink or two with him and tell him.
>>It has begun...<<
No, the lies continue.
>>The subpoenas better start soon.<<
and what good do you think they will do? Do you really think a single, solitary person will be fined or go to jail?
First of all, I don’t go to DC and secondly, I don’t drink.
We could do worse, ya know? Like a Pelosi 2.0.
He get it and I believe he will try to do what the American people want. Of course, we know that zero will veto anything we put forth, but, I can also see 2012 from my house.
Of course, you are absolutely correct, and I am being a bit of a sore winner. The Republican "victory" yesterday is infinitely better for the country than the alternative. In Re Boner: I have seen Ohio Man in action around DC, and it ain't purty. And I don't think the man really gets it. He's a good back-bencher and a terrible up front guy.
