Not really a surprise. However, I think that West Virginia will regret this once they know who their governor will be. The thing I am interested in is when Cap and Trade comes up, will he vote against it?????

A small part of me hopes that Manchin votes for Cap and Trade. Most likely an agreement will be made that Manchin can vote no while a turncoat like Lindsey Graham will vote yes.

Disappointing, but I always figured control of the Senate was going to be a long shot.
As it stands, the Democrats’ filibuster-proof majority will still be gone, and six more Democratic Senators will be vulnerable in 2012. I can live with that.
