"As the Tea Party gears up for big wins on Tuesday, Adam Winkler sounds the alarm on an overlooked part of their radical agenda to overturn gun control laws in Americaand their ties to revolutionary militia," The Daily Beast tells us.
A "constitutional law professor at UCLA" is evidently hostile to the Founders' Second Amendment. This is my shocked face.
If we listen to him, we just can't win. Those agreeing with the "militia" part are "extremists." As for "shall not be infringed:
Rand Paul showed his true colors with a campaign promise that, if elected, he will fight all attempts at gun control in the U.S. Senate. He didnt say all attempts at ineffective gun control or all attempts other than those well designed to keep criminals from having guns. He was unambiguous: no gun control period.
Of course Winkler doesn't tell us which ones are effective, and which ones are so well designed that they actually keep criminals from having guns. I'm sure that's just an oversight and he has fresh data to refute what criminologist and constitutional lawyer Don B. Kates and criminologist and professor Gary Mauser tell us in the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy:
In 2004 the US National Academy of Sciences ... failed to identify any gun control that reduced violent crime, suicides or gun accidents.
This was "from a review of 153 journal articles, 99 books, 43 government publications, and some original empirical research. The same conclusion was reached in 2003 by the US Centers for Disease Control..."
As for Tea Partiers having a reversal of citizen disarmament laws on their agenda, from his lips to God's ears. Here I've been worried about teajacking RINOs.

I highly recommend also reading Mike Vanderboegh's deconstruction linked above. He nails it.
Which means the ones with the "gun problem" are the ones who endorse a state monopoly of violence. Except it's really their "freedom problem."
America! It's about
America! It's about
They say that like it was a bad thing!? Sounds like an endorsement to me.
Also, since when is loving freedom, liberty, and the US Constitution a "radical agenda?" If that's the case, I am PROUD to be a part of the "radical agenda."
Does the Tea Party have a ‘gun problem’?
NO!
Yeah. But we’re buying more, so it’s gettin’ better.
Does the Tea Party have a gun problem?
The only problem we have is NOT ENOUGH guns.
Well if they forget to load it maybe.
Speak for yourself. My main gun problem is not enough time to go shooting as often as I’d wish...
No, we don’t have a “gun problem”. The hoplophobes and statists on the left have the “gun problem”.
We have the “gun solutions”.
Does the Tea Party have a ‘’gun problem’’? BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! WOO! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!OH MAN! HAHA HE.....oh man.. too much.. hoo.. ha.. wait, dude, what? Wow. Who writes these kind of things?
No!
1) The “Tea Party” was coined out of concern that calling for Revolution might be over the top.
2) They may not advocate for “Open Carry”, but will support CCW all day long.
3) They know the definition of “Assault Weapon” necessarily includes select fire and full auto.
We radically agree with the extremist Supreme Court that the militia supporting Founding Fathers meant it when they said the right to keep and bear arms is a God given human right.
If you can’t afford those expensive pistols and carbines, take a look here: http://www.hi-pointfirearms.com/
Made in the USA! Lifetime, transferable warranty!
I had a gun problem but all it needed was a little lubricant and it fired like new again.
The first tea partiers had ties to the militia as well.
Well, since you can NEVER have enough guns, I'm going with...Yes!
Hey Neil, have you any stats on how the democRATS that the nra endorsed did today? (I think it was 58 last count I heard).
You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in their struggle for independence.
To the Democratic oppressives, freedom and liberty ARE a Radical Agenda.
That includes Guns, so the powers that be had better realize that although they are attempting at controlling us through a paper trail on our guns, its has limited use.
Bottom line: The paperwork may show us buying a bunch of guns, but that certainly doesn't mean we still have them.
