O'Donnell: NRSC didn't help me

Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell complained Monday night that the National Republican Senatorial Committee did not give her the resources she needed to win.

O’Donnell credited Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele for being supportive of her candidacy, but told Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren that the NRSC hasn’t provided enough help.

“Michael Steele has come to Delaware and campaigned for us,” O’Donnell said. “The RNC has been very supportive.

“I would have liked it if the NRSC had done something,” she added. “My opponent is horrible on so many issues. He stands to personally make millions from cap and trade.”

O’Donnell is down by double digits in numerous public polls, and in races across the country the national campaign committees have reallocated resources to competitive races.

She has complained about the NRSC in the past — even after it gave the maximum $42,000 to her campaign — which Washington Republicans suggest is just an attempt to further endear herself to grass-roots supporters.

Additionally, O'Donnell has not had a fundraising problem, raising $3.8 million in the month after her surprising primary win over Rep. Mike Castle.

After all of the dust has settled, I would like to see how much money is left in O’Donnell’s senate war chest? It would be interesting to see if she spent it all or how much of it she is keeping. Does anyone what limitations there are for left over money from a political race that is given directly to her campaign?

This question I asked will definitely rub some people the wrong way. That is not my intent. I just want to know this works. I know Hillary kept a lot of her money, but it was never disclosed what she could do or not do with the money after she lost the primary to Obama....

If Rove and the GOP had any class
they would have gotten behind O’Donnell and Angle
and mentor them through the mind fields.

Both of these contests were win-able. Lizzie Borden could have beaten Coons. And Lady Gaga could have trounced Reid.

I hope she has a lot left over and keeps it - she deserves every bit of it! She exposed Rove and a few others RINO’S.

And, IIRC, Hillary had debt on that end of her campaign.

And RINO McCain had millions left over from his half hearted, no fire in the belly attempt in ‘08 and used to against conservative JD!
