Poll workers are key part of process

Election Day is, at least in part, held together by rubber bands, pencil grips and duct tape. Not to mention homemade brownies and shortbread cookies.

At the polls Tuesday, while Georgians are electing their next governor, behind the scenes and the voting machines, everyday office supplies and occasional baked goods will serve the democratic process as well as any public servant.

On Monday, the back room at the Bibb County Board of Elections, what with all the hard-plastic bins crammed full of notebooks and how-to-vote postings and pens and electronic-ballot cards, seemed more like the drop point for a camping trip into a paperwork wilderness.

The bins, bound for more than three dozen precincts around Macon, are the tackle boxes of vote casting.

Look at the photo on accomanying the story. I wonder how many phony ballots are buried in that mess.

I think poll workers where I vote are selected for their inability to speak or read properly.

They look at my license and proceed to misspell and mispronounce my name at least four or five times before they get it right....sort of.

They are all bumbling idiots. AND they are proud of it!

My daughter called this a.m., she lives in an affluant area. She stated that they have four books,not seperated by Dem or Republican, nor seperated by alphabet. Curious as she is, she asked if all these books were just alike. ANSWER: YES.

She then asked if her name is in all four. ANSWER: YES

She then asked what would keep someone from coming in a signing her name in another book: ANSWER: well that would be illegal. (YEAH! right.)

She called the election board. First chat with a girl, she did not get an answer that made any sense, just that if someone did that, there would be an investigation, (now why would they want to set up a situation that MAY cost money to investigate in the first place?)

My daughter called the Election board back, and got some man (higher up), who told her that they are using this is SELECT precincts. (keyword SELECT)

She called the Rep. HQ, lady there told her that her husband reported the same thing at another precint. She told my daughter that if there is a discrepency,they CAN throw out 4 Republican votes. The area my daughter is in a high Republcan area. Same as the lady at the HQ where her husband voted.

My take: They are using this method in highly affluant areas (Republican areas), where no one would think voter fraud would occur, and/or going to use the other books with blank names (to be filled in later after closing). My daughter and others would never know if someone signed another book under her name and given a ballot. If any disputes, they would just throw out 4 other Republican ballots.

My daughter will most likely called one of the TV/Radio stations on this.

Election board told her this is the first year this has been used.

We have always had Democrat lines and Republican line, then it goes to alphabet.

Knowing my daughter this is not over. lol

I think the new voter fraud strategy is incompetence. The voters on the left have incompetence in abundance. If they can’t win by cheating, they will try to tolorate enough ineptitude to turn the election.
