When Nick Popaditch wins in Californias 51st District, late in the evening November 2 or early in the morning November 3, remember who was mentioning him as a promising candidate way back on March 12.
Why am I confidently predicting a win by a little-known underfunded Republican in a D+8 district against a nine-term incumbent? Because a confident incumbents campaign doesnt do things like this:
Republican Congressional Candidate Nick Popaditch is responding to an ad Congressman Bob Filner is running about his voting record.
The ad Filner is running claims Popaditch has not voted for more than 11 years, but KUSI has documents showing thats not the case.
Popaditch says he even rushed to vote after being released from the hospital due to injuries he received serving in Iraq, I voted this year, in 08, 06 in 04. Even when I was discharged from the hospital due to my wounds in combat, I had to speed out to San Bernardino where I was stationed out at 29 Palms in San Bernardino County to cast my vote in 04 to make it there before the polls closed.
My first question is, How, pray tell, does Filner think voters will react to that ad? What? Nick Popaditch didnt vote some years? Gee, I guess the guy left blinded by wounds from battle just doesnt love this country enough. But then its a lie that can be dispelled within ten minutes!
That screams desperation.

Popaditch was on Hannity’s Great American Panel one night last week.
Unfortunately, Hannity, as usual, did almost all the talking.
He is great! I watched the debate (a agnoizing experience since it would load, do 3 words and load again) but he was incredible in that debate. People had better get out and vote, this guy is too good to pass over.
Not to state the obvious, but where did the Democrats get the guy’s voting records?
Aren’t voting records supposed to be private? Isn’t it a crime for someone in the government to divulge a citizen’s voting record?
Isn’t this the real queston (and scandal) here? Not “did he fail to vote,” but “how the heck did you know he failed to vote?”
Don’t know about Califlower, but here in Alaska I have to sign to vote.
Those records are public - supposed to help stop voter fraud. I have no problem if folks see that I vote.
Love this last paragraph :
Ive been lamenting the lack of polling in this district, but I hear from a source whos a fan of Popaditch that some outside group did poll the district and found it neck and neck, with the incumbent well below 50. Id love to see more specifics on that poll, but even without it, Im predicting a Popaditch win.
No wonder we haven't seen any polls!
Can't wait to vote for him tomorrow!
GO GUNNY POP!!!
Woo-Hoo! I had just assumed that Filthy Filner was way ahead. To hear that he can’t reach 50% and Gunny Pop is close is just awesome!!
Surprised me, too. There’s HOPE!!! Gunny Pop’s a GREAT candidate.
We were first in line for voting at 7AM this morning. FELT SOOO GOOD!
:::proudly wearing my “I VOTED” sticker:::
Well, so much for unattributed, Pollyanna Polls, huh?
Sure was nice feeling hopeful, for five minutes.
I can’t imagine a better candidate than Gunny Pop, and if the district were Chula Vista only, he probably would’ve won, just like republican CV mayor, Cheryl Cox.
Too bad we weren't in control enough to get rid of Filner. I wish those polls were right, though.....*sigh*
Yah... this was one of the races I was really watching. I’m really bummed that Gunny couldn’t get there. I sent him some money, even though I’m not in his district. He needs to be in Congress.
I hope he keeps trying. He’ll make it.
So nice of you to support Gunny Pop.
Hope he’ll try again.
Sickening. Filner of all slimebags too.
The district is rigged. Perhpas the new redistricting will aid to his demise in 2 years.
:::glimmer of *hope*:::
maybe!
