And it’s a real power, at least over me. Attractive young women tend to turn my brain to mush. I stutter and stammer. I have to meet them several times before I’m able to utter a coherent sentence.

And that is just what is happening above the neck....

That would have been true 20 years ago. Now I’m 64 years old and wise enough to know that none of them would be willing to jump in bed with me.
It does have its advantages.

There are a number of cashiers here that I find to be not only attractive but nice. After I get over my stammering I admit “Excuse me, attractive young women turn my brain to mush.” It makes them smile. After that we’ll often talk a few minutes while I’m checking out.
Many customers are as rude to cahiers as they are to cab drivers. They seem to like that I treat them like people, not things. I’m always greeted with a true smile and welcome. One young lady kept me informed about her husband while he was deployed. Another told me all about what her children were doing. Yesterday one of them saw me coming in from the parking lot. They are required to greet each customer with “Welcome to Bottom Dollar.”, the phrase is usually spoken in a very flat monotone manner. She rushed to greet me at the door with a very sincere welcome and light hug!
