NBC/WSJ pollster: Results show 'rebuke' of last two years
Republicans remain on course to make substantial midterm gains across the country and to win control of at least one chamber of Congress, according to the final NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll before Tuesdays elections.
Nearly 50 percent of likely voters prefer a GOP-controlled Congress, which is virtually unchanged from the poll taken two weeks ago; a plurality of all registered voters say it would be a good thing if Republicans were in charge of both the U.S. House and U.S. Senate; and almost two-thirds including about half of Democrats want to see a significant amount of change in the way President Barack Obama has been leading the country.

1894: comeback and comedown. In 1884 Grover Cleveland becomes the first Democrat elected president since Buchanan, and in 1892 he becomes the only president to win non-consecutive terms. But his second administration features a severe depression, a railroad strike and an army of jobless workers demonstrating in Washington for relief. In the 1894 midterms, the Democrats lose 116 seats in the Housethe biggest wipeout on recordand 5 in the Senate. The result vitiates the party everywhere but in the Deep South and prepares the ground for the elections of Republicans William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt to the White House and the rise of the modern presidency.

They’re coming closer to the truth. If its really hurricane force, the Senate will also switch.
They’re dropping the push polling. The news just looks gloomy for the Democrats.

Very soon it will be time for Republicans to put up or shut up.
They won’t have many more “at bats”.

I’m recording all of MSNBC on election night just to enjoy their demise (It should be quite an enjoyable show for Conservatives). I sure hope I’m not disappointed though.

The only thing Obama has done with the Slurpee is raise the stock value for South Land's stock on the Slurpee.
I can see many on election night drinking s Slurpee in protest against Obama and the sweet victory.

Pure bunk! There is no way that this poll could be valid compared to the last several months. Way too many folks now understand that the Media and Democrats are in cahoots.
Let’s assume for a moment that it is correct, does that mean that one out of ten races now are going to the Democrats? Does that mean that only a few races will be saved?
Ok, if true, that means that Republicans will only win 58 seats in the House instead of 66 and only 8 Senate seats instead of the hoped for 10 seats. Love your optimism...heh.
