As Vice President, Aaron Burr served as Chairman of the Senate with great distinction. He was responsible for some of the early rules that governed that body, and in a time when political hatreds ran high, he ensured a comity that has rarely every been aproached again. His departure address to the Senate is known as one of the great speeches ever given in that institution. Frankly, these days we could do with a few more Aaron Burrs, a man whose honesty was legion.
Agree, and STRONGLY AGREE!!!! Although I think a nation only gets men or women) like those once in its lifetime. Unfortunately for US. We're doomed, I tell ya. Only thing left to do is keep fighting while they drag us to the gallows.
