Can the Dude Abide? [Maureen Down turns on Hussein]
NYT ^ | Mo Dowd

Posted on 10/30/2010 11:10:42 PM PDT by Chet 99

Barack Obama became president by brilliantly telling his own story. To stay president, he will need to show he can understand our story.

At first it was exciting that Obama was the sort of brainy, cultivated Democrat who would be at home in a “West Wing” episode.

But now he acts like he really thinks he’s on “West Wing,” gliding through an imaginary, amber-lit set where his righteous self-regard is bound to be rewarded by the end of the hour.

Hey, dude, you’re a politician. Act like one.

And the thing that makes MoDo and her fellow liberals more stupid and pathetic than they already are is that they actually believe their own propaganda.

Only an idiot would think Obama is losing it because he didn’t push the radical gay agenda far enough.

The reason Obama is a failure is because he was the media’s affirmative action candidate. Simply, he should have never been a viable candidate in the first pace. If he were White, he would have been polling behind Dennis Kucinich.

The liberals had to enthrone him to assuage their own White liberal racist guilt.

Forget the Obama’s skin color, the religion and birth certificate issues and any fool can see he was never prepared to be president in the first place.

Everything Obama has touched has been a compete failure.

Anybody can see Obama objectively for what he is: a failure.

The liberal media propped this fraud up and now they are seeing him fall apart like a Frankenstein monster.

Only now, when it is too late, do liberals realize they have followed a loser. He has lead them to defeat. Yes, they will hate him for it, even more than those who defeat them.

And well that they do hate him. They should hate him with every ounce of hatred they can muster. For he is the author of their demise.

Bwahahahahahaaaaaa.... Happy Halloween!

It's funny. The Democrats are beginning to realize that they really did elect a community organizer with a few catchy phrases as president.

Obama is a major failure not even two years into his term.

The lefty media knows this and will push him out and run Hillary, as they will do anything to hang onto the Presidency.

That includes throwing Obama under the bus.

“brainy, cultivated”

Really? I wonder what the idiotic old crone thought of, say, David Niven or Bishop Sheen.

Brainy. Let’s see, laugh or puke...

Decisions, decisions.

Trouble is, the average American no longer has no time to formulate a reasonable opinion: those lucky enough to still have jobs find themselves occupied with being available for their jobs 24/7. It takes time to check out a variety of sources and formulate a valid and reasoned opinion; in this day and age, those who speak loudest, most often and most tersely will grab the voters’ attention and control the conversation (assuming there even IS a “conversation” rather than a declaration).

Another liberal calling us too stupid to think & form opinions about what we want & need from our government! Sheesh, she can stick it!

“Another liberal calling us too stupid to think & form opinions about what we want & need from our government!”

And, as another poster pointed out, it is she who has her facts wrong. But then, libtards always do.

The lesson to be learned, I think, is that there’s really no point in paying attention to what people like this have to say.

Does she scour high school English departments to get ideas for columns, headlines, and language?

Isn’t she an old hag? Why is she writing as if she were 17?

Even when she comes close to getting it, she is way off the mark.

Do we want “the best” governing us? Do we want anyone governing us? The answer is no to both. We don’t want people who think they are better than us in government, and we really don’t want them to be so involved in our lives. Govern the government, not the people.

Obama is reaching the point of unwitting self-parody: arrogant, aloof, self-absorbed, and incompetent.

YOU apparently will NOT consider the fact that Obama is causing as much damage to the country as he can ON PURPOSE. Rev. Wright's BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY is nothing more than COMMUNISM for Blacks, Reparations for BLACKS, Welfare for BLACKS. It is class warfare.

Obama nationalized the car companies and then put dealerships that weren't politically aligned out of business.

He shut down oil drilling because Louisiana votes Repubican AND it hurts America

He's for open borders because IT HURTS AMERICA

He's for wasting huge sums of money on STIMULUS because FDR proved that Government spending/control during the great depression is what made it a GREAT DEPRESSION. Take the keys away from Obama or you ain't seen nothing yet.

FDR's policies prolonged Depression by 7 years, UCLA economists calculate

By keeping to the high road, the Democrats have made their real achievements and capabilities invisible to the vast majority down below.

I think I've got it, "keeping to the high road" means "staying stoned out of their minds." OK, now that sentence is starting to make sense. I was having trouble figuring out how branding millions of non-racists as racists was even slightly ethical.

Let me add that while economic growth needs growth in the 3-4% range or higher, that growth also needs to consistently and by a wide margin beat inflation. What good is 2% growth against 2.6% inflation? That is a recession. After the Fed eases again next month, inflation will likely go even higher in the months and years to follow. Will they have figured out how to get growth to keep up, let alone get ahead if inflation through easing? I don’t believe it.

Obama’s unintentional self-parody is distinct from his malign intentions for the country. As Dowd indicates, Obama is subverting his own image and credibility. From our standpoint, that is a good thing.

This Obama line is scary:

“We have done things that people don’t even know about,” said Obama, who left his Great Communicator mantle back in Grant Park on election night.

That’s probably the funniest sentence in the whole piece. When did a Democrat ever not shout how great his achievement was, no matter how small, no matter if it even was his to shout about?

“brilliantly telling his own story”??? Um, Maureen, Anita Dunn, his communications director at the White House and before that, the campaign, openly bragged about how she “completely controlled media access” to the man, and we are all pretty sure his TWO “autobiographies” 1) weren’t at all written by him and 2) contain very little in the way of truth concerning his parentage and education.

According to Rush, who has the inside scoop on MoDo, she is a bitter, wizened, dried up old prune because the love of her life dumped her in a most humiliating and embarrassing fashion. Rush heard it from the “horse’s mouth.”
