It’s funny how cowardly these lechers are when confronted. There used to be a pair of latino hair dressers who sat on the big landscape pots at the entrance of a high rise I worked in and choochied the women as they came in in the morning.
One day, a woman who worked in the same building with me and I got to talking on the bus ride to work about these two. We resolved that if they were there when we arrived, we would give it right back to them. We did, they got all flustered and ran off, never to take up station there again.
You never see one guy alone doing this. It’s almost always a group. I’ve heard of women fighting back and humiliating the guys doing this. I remember years ago, I was dating a young lady and she told me how she hated to walk by this construction site because of the catcalls. One day she approached the site and was relieved to see a police car parked in front- that is until one of the cops made a catcall over the loudspeaker. The funny thing- she laughed about it. I mean, she never confronted these guys, but she understood it was more or less a cowards way to show what a man he was. Still, I don’t know how you can make a law against it.
Worked in the construction industry in New York in the ‘80s, at Battery Park City(where The Trade Center used to be). Lunchtime crowd, guys hanging out. Well-dressed beautiful babe( 25-30 years old) walking by(looked Italian-American, hot babe) Guy gave her some sh!t. Babe whips out a stiletto knife, sticks it right in his face and yells “Oh yeah m’fer!?! I’ll cut yer f**kin’ balls off’’. Never saw that dude try that sh!t ever again.
Lol, Ft Stewart GA back in the 80’s was an open post, several roads open to civilian traffic ran through parts of it.
A soldier in our group cat called at a car load of local women driving past, the car stopped, reversed, and several very tough looking country gals got out and headed Romeo’s way making kissy face noises and calling back, the guy took off like a scalded cat and never lived it down!
