The "something" was to give the MSM a chance to change the subject. Now the Sunday shows can talk about Brack the Protector.
This is pretty lame as an October Surprise (unless something blows up), but they might think Brack looking tough will bring out a few thousand more women and New Castrati voters. :)
I usually strongly criticize the conspiracy nut types, but I gotta say, this does smack of Obama/Democrats taking advantage of the situation to get everyone's mind off the bad economy. Every little edge they can get could save a Senate seat or two. Show people they are in charge and defending the public and it might help alleviate some of the anger in the country.
Now Shemp has some guy on there saying that AQ likes times of transition. In otherwards America, you change to republicans and you will be in danger.
Oh brother.
October surprise. Now over the weekend and on Monday, they will ramp up fear about going to polling places.
