Obama will speak about today's terror threats. Besides speaking about Christine O'Donnell closing the gap with Chris Coons, Obama is also expected to talk about the packages from Yemen via UPS planes scare (and probably the plane getting a fighter escort to NYC now.)
I noticed that too.

Republicans continue to be trusted more on national security issues and the war on terror, with 49% of voters trusting the GOP versus 39% who trust the Democrats more.
Good point then, thanks for the information. I had thought Terrorism/Nat'l Security was one of their bright spots. Historically I know defense issues were always the weakest area for Democrats, but I had thought they closed that gap some. Apparently not.
So long as this terror threat doesn't help them I am happy.
A UPS plane leaving Dubai (I think it was Dubai) crashed and there was a fire onboard first. Probably one of these things went off prematurely.
When did this happen?

The United Arab Emirates’ official state media reported late Friday that the bodies of two pilots had been recovered.
“The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately clear, but it appeared to have been preceded by a fire on board.”

Yeah, a couple months ago and the only thing I can think of that lends this threat any credibility.
I tend to think zero did NOT want to have to address it. And now with W’s book coming out, what a strange mess all around.
Gee,,,just in time for the elections. What a coincidence. Now they can say “see how safe us commies are keeping you?” DU`ers are already saying what a great opportunity this is for the donks for the elections.

I’m not one who thinks the administration engineered this. Doesnt’ make sense. I read on another board about jihad stuff and it’s apparently they’ve been working on stuff. Muslims have not given up what they normally do which is kill infidels.

Another thing.....all the media are giving zero credit now because “the system worked”, and comparing the improvement to his handling of the Christmas Day bomber and Ft. Hood. I just heard it on the news. And this is coming off zero’s epic failure on Jon Stewart. And Bubba’s epic failure to get Meek to drop out. And Bubba is buddies with the sheik or whatever he is of Dubai, as is zero. The UAE has no reason to lie because if there was a package from Yemen on board when the plane got to the UAE, before it went to Dubai, and there really were explosives, the UAE would be really stupid to claim there was no package from Yemen on board, lol.
So we have zero out front about unseen “terrorists” (new word for him) for the first time instead of ignoring it, over non-existent explosives, according to the FBI, but, oh, yes, there were explosives, according to zero. When has he ever commented directly about specifics and details before about these kinds of events? Never. Why, if they were going to let the story out in full, did they wait until all the news media were on hand in the morning instead of in the middle of the night when they supposedly found out?
The whole thing in the UK and Dubai, and the plane not being stopped in either place is absurd.
